NASA SkyWatch Variables Tab Help

Click on a section of the user interface to provide detailed information.

The Variables Tab is the location to view or update several parameters that govern execution of the applet. The use of the default values is strongly recommended unless you fully understand the purpose of each parameter. The display is divided into four areas:

  1. Atmospheric Information.
  2. Processing and Output.
  3. Sighting Constraints.
  4. SkyTrack Color Options.

Defaults are provided that give the best solutions for sightings of satellites in low earth orbit. If parameters on the Variables Tab have been altered, a Restore Defaults button is provided to reset all of the parameters on the Variables Tab. Also, a Restore All Defaults button is provided to reset all of the parameters on all of the tabs.
