Crew Activity Report for STS-97 Flight Day 8. This video provides information related to activities aboard the International Space Station as well activities on Space Shuttle Endeavour. The day began with preparations for the third trip to the top of the P6 Truss structure during the third space walk of the mission. Meanwhile, onboard the International Space Station, the Expedition 1 crew worked to pack items that will be returned to Earth aboard Endeavour. STS-97 Mission Specialists Joe Tanner and Carlos Noriega completed the third space walk of STS-97. The space walkers, who were assisted by Commander Brent Jett, Pilot Mike Bloomfield and Mission Specialist Marc Garneau, tensioned a solar blanket on the International Space Station's starboard solar array. They also installed probes that will measure the electrical potential of plasma around the station. The space walkers then "topped out" the structure with an evergreen tree so that no bad luck will befall the structure. The two crews then received a congratulatory message from NASA Administrator Dan Goldin.
