S103-E-5031 (21 December 1999) --- The first of a series of four images recorded from close range as the astronauts aboard the Space Shuttle Discovery prepared to grab the Hubble Space Telescope (HST) with the remote manipulator system (RMS) arm. The image was taken with an electronic still camera (ESC) at 5031 18:03:15 GMT, Dec. 21, 1999.
